How It Works

The Gatekeeper is a locking rooftop tent mount with spacers providing bolt cutter protection. It attaches to your rack the same way a standard mount does. Add one or more — lock as many corners as you want.

Once it's locked, removal requires the key.

Will it fit?

Yes, if you have 2.2″ or more of clearance between the roof and bottom of your roof rack then it will fit. Fits cross bars up to 4.3″ width and 2.0″ thick.

No, if you have less than 2.2″ between the roof and the bottom of your roof rack. With less than 2.2″, there won’t be enough room to install the bottom cover plate. These won’t work with Rhino Rack Pioneer Platforms or if side panels block your access to operate the mounts.

How many locking mount assemblies do I need?

One locking roof top tent mount will prevent an unauthorized removal of your tent. However, redundancy may help add an additional level of security if desired. If you wish to send the message, “keep on walking”, a second locking mount may be added. 

Will the locks be keyed alike?

Yes, if you order more than one mount, the locks will be keyed alike.
