Was looking to replace mounting hardware that came with rooftop tent with something that'd make installations and removal much easier. The payoff for me is since one side of the mounting bracket ends up being permanently mounted and does not need to be moved it provides a consistent forward/aft mounting location. Important when mounting the rooftop tent on an suv since you don't want the trunk lid to hit the tent when opening that trunk.

I'm glad I waited to write the review. My first test fit did NOT go well but it was close enough, that I thought we could make it work. I reached out to Vanultra for help and they had two great ideas to try at no cost. We figured out that the interference was caused by the large black knobs - so we swapped those to a wing nut and BOOM! THEY FIT! I'm very happy they fit because the quality and speed is second to none!

A few specific notes on fitment to my setup:
The moonroof really changes the game and may be the cornerstone to using these brackets. It makes installing the front brackets a breeze. In the rear, you must be able to get your hand into the second bar to install the retaining pin. I used pliers to install the cotter pin. worked great, very secure.

I really like these RTT quick release mounts. They are well thought and do the job as expected. Other quick release options the clamps stay on the load bars but with these the mounts stay on the tent which I prefer. They allow you to set a fixed point on the tent to mount to the load bars so that you can quickly set it in the exact same spot every time. They look great, work great and are very rugged. I’ve used them several times now and I am very pleased with them.
