Roofnest Condor 2 Air Tent + Mount Bundle

You bought a foldout with a compact footprint so it would not dominate the roof. Then it lived there anyway.

A hundred and forty-five pounds, every commute. The parking deck you route around. The garage you stopped pulling into. The trailhead where you leave it and think about it all day.

The Condor 2 earns the space when you are out — the Rest EZ sleep system, improved window awnings, and about ten pounds lighter than the edition before it. The tent was never the problem.

It ships with a universal mounting kit of its own — four brackets that bolt it to your crossbars and keep it there.

This bundle adds the Slipstream quick-release set, free. Fit the Slipstream instead of the tent’s brackets. Both arrive; the tent’s own kit stays in the box as a spare. The tent itself is at the maker’s list price — the mounts are the part you would normally pay $299 for.

Regular or XL — pick one above

  • Condor 2 Air — 145 lb. 14" closed, 40" of headroom, sleeps 2-3. The compact footprint the Condor is known for.
  • Condor 2 XL Air — 170 lb. 14.5" closed, 50" of headroom, sleeps 3-4. A larger sleeping area without needing an XL rig under it.

What is in this bundle

  • Roofnest Condor 2 Air rooftop tent (1) — Regular or XL, chosen above.
  • Slipstream Option A 4-Pack quick-release mounts (1) — a $299 upgrade, included. Replaces all four of the tent’s basic brackets.

What changes after the first install

The mounts release in about three minutes. No tools, after a one-time alignment on the first fit.

The lift is still the lift — a hundred and forty-five pounds wants a hoist or a second person. What the Slipstream removes is the half hour of crawling along the rack with a wrench before the tent has moved at all.

Garage on Sunday night. Back on the roof Friday afternoon.

Fit and shipping

Option A is the correct Slipstream fit for every Roofnest tent, so the mounts in this bundle are the ones your Condor needs. Not sure about your crossbars? Use the compatibility picker or email sales@starksidegear.com.

The tent ships freight, not parcel. Freight is charged at Roofnest’s own rate with nothing added, and you will see the exact figure at checkout before you pay. Mounts on their own always ship free.

Need six mounts instead of four? Email sales@starksidegear.com and we will sort it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What mounts come with a tent bundle?

A Slipstream quick-release 4-pack, included at no cost. That is a $299 mount set on the house, and it is the whole reason to buy the tent here rather than anywhere else online — the tent itself is the same tent at the same price.

The Slipstream replaces the stock mounting brackets the tent ships with. Those brackets bolt a tent to your crossbars and keep it there. The Slipstream swaps that for latches.

Which Slipstream Option fits my tent?

Every Intrepid Geo tent — Geo Solo, Geo 2.5, Geo 2.5 Pro, Geo 3.0 — runs Option B. If you buy an Intrepid bundle, Option B is what ships.

For any other tent, use the compatibility picker. Pick your brand, then your model, and it tells you the Option. It covers 135 tents across 34 brands.

If your tent is not in the list, email sales@starksidegear.com before you order. We would rather answer a fitment question than process a return.

How fast can I actually get the tent off?

About three minutes, on your own, with no tools.

The first install is the slow one — you set the alignment once, and that takes as long as any mount install does. After that it is a drop-and-drive. Park indoors Sunday night, back on the roof Friday afternoon.

That is the difference the bundle is built around. A tent that takes a second person and half an afternoon to remove does not come off, so it lives on the roof through the work week.

Do I need crossbars, and are they included?

You need crossbars or a platform rack, and they are not included — not with the tent, and not with the mounts.

The Slipstream mounts sit between the tent and your crossbars, so the bars have to already be on the vehicle and rated for the load.

Will my roof rack handle the weight?

Check two numbers on your rack before you order, because they are different and both matter.

  • Dynamic load — what the rack carries while you are driving.
  • Static load — what it holds parked, which is when you are asleep in the tent. This is usually much higher and is the one people forget to look up.

Add the tent, the mounts, and the people sleeping in it. For reference, the Intrepid Geo 2.5 Pro is 165 lbs before anyone gets in.

Not sure? Email sales@starksidegear.com with your vehicle and rack and we will tell you straight.

Can I get a 6-pack of mounts instead of the 4-pack?

Yes, on request. Bundles ship with the 4-pack by default.

Email sales@starksidegear.com and we will sort it before your order goes out.

What is the warranty on a tent bundle?

Two warranties, because it is two products from two makers.

  • The tent is covered by its manufacturer. Intrepid Camp Gear offers a limited 3-year warranty against manufacturer defects in workmanship, materials and parts.
  • The mounts are ours, and carry Stark Side Gear’s warranty.

A tent claim goes to the tent maker; a mount claim comes to us. If you are not sure which one you have, ask us and we will point you the right way.

Can I see a tent or mount in person before buying?

Often, yes. We publish a dealer map of shops carrying Stark Side Gear.

Shops with a mount physically on the floor are marked differently from ones that stock online only, so you can tell before you drive out whether there is something to put your hands on.

Call ahead either way. Tent stock moves, and a shop that carries our mounts does not necessarily have every tent on display.

How does a tent ship, and what does it cost?

Tents ship freight, not parcel. They are too big and too heavy for USPS or UPS — the Geo 2.5 Pro alone is 165 lbs before packaging.

Freight is charged at cost, the same rate the tent maker charges us. Nothing is marked up. It runs $120 to $350 to the lower 48, depending on the tent.

You will see the exact figure at checkout before you pay. Mounts and hardware on their own still ship free — the freight charge only applies when there is a tent in the order.

Alaska, Hawaii and the territories are quote-only. No tent maker publishes a rate for them, so we will not guess at one. Email sales@starksidegear.com with your address and we will get you a real number.

What happens on delivery day?

The freight carrier calls you 2 to 5 days ahead to book a delivery window. Somebody needs to be there.

Expect a 24 to 48 foot truck. If your street, driveway or gate cannot take one, say so when the carrier calls rather than on the day — they can usually arrange something else.

This is curbside delivery. The driver is not bringing a 165 lb crate up your drive or onto your rack, so line up a second person and somewhere to put it.

What if the tent arrives damaged?

Keep the packaging and photograph everything. That is the part people get wrong, and it is the part that decides whether a claim goes through.

Intrepid needs a shipping-damage claim within 5 business days of delivery, and it has to include close-ups of the damage, the product and damaged area as a whole, and the damage on the box or packaging. Break down the crate before you have taken those photos and the evidence is gone.

So: open it, look it over, shoot photos of anything wrong including the outside of the box, and email sales@starksidegear.com straight away. We will take it from there.

Can I return a tent?

Within 30 days of delivery, unused and in the original packaging.

Two costs come out of the refund on a tent, because freight runs both directions: the return shipping, and a 3% restocking fee that the tent maker applies to all freight returns.

Cancel before it ships and none of that applies — you get a full refund. Once a tent is on a truck it has to go through the return process instead. So if you are unsure about fit, ask us first: sales@starksidegear.com.

Will the Condor 2 clear my garage?

The Condor 2 Air is 14" tall closed. The XL is 14.5".

That is the tent alone. Add your crossbars, your rack feet and the roof of the vehicle, then measure the opening — not the ceiling. Garage doors are usually the tighter number, and the track hardware inside is tighter again.

If you are within an inch or two, the Slipstream is the difference between measuring once and taking the tent off every time you park.
